Zephyr Support

Zephyr provides high-quality managed IT services to our clients. Our services range from ad-hoc/on-call services to a fully managed in-house IT service where Zephyr essentially becomes the IT department of your business.

Our team of certified engineers have a wide range of skills and expertise across a range of products including Microsoft (75% of our engineers hold a Microsoft MCSE certification), Novell, Citrix, Cisco and VMWare.

Because our engineers have different areas of skill and levels of experience, we offer a service where you ‘buy a service as you need it’. This allows you to pay only for the time required for a particular service saving you the inconvenience and cost of hiring a full-time employee for a short or medium term project. Essentially, Zephyr invests in the skills and you only pay for our services when required.

Why should I move my IT needs to Zephyr Support?

We are attracting more clients as business managers realise the risks around having just one or two ‘IT guys’ who end up holding all the company’s IP; if one gets sick or goes on holiday, the company ends up being at risk as the knowledge of the company’s IT systems walks out the door. Documentation is often non-existent or out of date. This is even more important when you have a single IT resource.

Tony Dorman

Manager: IT Managed Services & Support

Tony has been involved in the ICT industry for over 30 years. He has a “technical” background, but in recent years this has broadened to include the various facets of building and operating a successful ICT company. Due to this, he has a broad skillset and this includes very good knowledge and understanding of Finance, Governance, HR, Leadership, Marketing, Strategy and Sales.

Tony has many long term relationships in the ICT industry, both with customers and suppliers, largely from by being friendly, genuine and extremely loyal.

In recent times, he has become very interested on how “Cloud” solutions are able to achieve better outcomes for customers. And what drives him is a passion for helping companies and organisations to use technology, and for them to be successful.

Outside work, Tony’s interests includes eating good food, house improvements, sports, socialising and the odd glass of wine.

Brett Snyman

IT Professional

Feeling at home and having only arrived into New Zealand from South Africa recently, Brett is enjoying immersing himself into everything Wellington has to offer, and looks forward to a long and prosperous future in New Zealand.

On the technical side of things, Brett designs, installs, configures and maintains technology solutions.

Apart from really enjoying what he does in the IT space, Brett is also a huge sports fanatic and looks forward to some friendly banter cheering on the Boks and Proteas when they take on the All Blacks and Black Caps!

As well as Rugby and Cricket, Brett also loves the great outdoors. Some of his interests includes fly-fishing, running, craft beer and taking his pugs to the beach.

Jason Samuel

Jason has over 18 years experience in the IT industry. He has worked in the Cook Islands, Australia and New Zealand.

He is known for his ability to establish and maintain good working relationships, he has a pleasant and professional manner and a great ‘can do’ attitude. He is always up for a challenge, and says he works even better when under pressure.

Erik Poulsen

Computer Network and Systems Engineer

Erik is our Computer Network and Systems Engineer; he has a degree in Information Technology with advanced networking papers focused on BGP (internal and external), MPLS, Multi-area OSPF, HSRP, STP, wireless technology, security and the implementation and maintenance of Microsoft Windows Server environments. He has seven years customer service experience dealing with the trouble shooting of computer systems and has a keen interest in server and storage technologies. He particularly enjoys tackling troublesome issues, which it is said he does with a cool head in friendly and professional manner.

Outside work, Erik enjoys overseas travel, experiencing foreign cultures, the trying of new food and a good craft beer. He plays hockey for Karori Hockey Club (Premier Grade) and always enjoys a good clean competitive game on the field.
