Bernard Walker

Bernard is the latest addition to the Zephyr Team, bringing his enthusiasm and expertise as a systems engineer to the forefront. He is excited about the opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and success of Zephyr's clients by leveraging his technical skills and innovative mindset.

Bernard’s journey to IT began in the building industry, where he developed a strong foundation in carpentry. This hands-on experience nurtured his problem-solving skills and formed a practical approach to tackling challenges, which he now applies to designing and implementing technology solutions. His unique background allows him to offer tailored, effective solutions that address client needs with precision and creativity.

Outside of work, Bernard is an active participant in outdoor activities and conservation efforts. He is involved with Zealandia and Matiu Island, as a conservation volunteer. His passions extend to playing football, exploring Wellington’s picturesque trails, and engaging in various hobbies, including board games and crafting homemade cheese, beer, and sourdough.
